At Fauna Brewing, we are mad about beer and crazy for conservation. It is the core of who we are. We brew with purpose, and choose a different wildlife conservation cause to support for each beer we brew.

cheetah lager
A traditional european style lager, backed by Vienna malt. The noble hops give the perfect balance for a crisp, refreshing lager. Simple is best.

pango table beer
Boasting lots of oats to give a silky mouthfeel. Heavy on Bru-1 and supported by Azzaca making this a punchy, easy sipping table beer.

Wild dog ipa
A wild take on a traditional style. Malt heavy with stonefruit undertones, Comet dry hop brings a spicy fruit kick finish.

chimp pale ale
Made with Ella and Simcoe hops, this unfined, hazy pale is bursting with bold tropical mango flavours.

bushy tail best
A traditional bitter, made with First Gold hops. Floral and fruity, complimented with the complex, caramel flavours of crystal malt.

meadow maker
An English golden ale that uses both traditional and modern hops. Sweet and malty with a hint of tangerine, low to medium hop bitterness with a light aroma.

tree planter ipa
A versatile, British session IPA with Olicana and First Gold hops. Expect complex bitterness with floral, fruity notes of grapefruit.

wild dog ipa
A core classic; this time in cask. Deep amber in colour, spicy yet fruity and sessionable IPA.
Lis, Brewer
Elissa is Fauna’s secret weapon; the personification of cool and she doesn’t even know it. Joining us in 2023, we’re fortunate that Lis consents to being Fauna’s part time spokesmodel alongside a Fauna Brewer, as she is a true force. The way Lis approached the brewery, and brewing as a whole, is relentless. While putting herself through mentorship programmes, trainings, and studying for a new certification; Lis is also a talented graphic designer who has 2 little sausage dogs at home. A serial hobbyist, Elissa is an amateur forager, a former ballerina and a polymath of musical instruments. She brings an edge, and much appreciated tenacity to our Sussex Brewery.

Mat, Head Brewer
What I could write about Mat’s behaviour at our Arundel Brewery and Taproom could fill a few of our larger tanks. He is, quite frankly, the silliest person I’ve had the fortune of working with. Mat watching is my favourite way to procrastinate, he’s always up to something shocking. An authentic oddball, Mat is part of the local re enactment troop and has a pet Umbrella Cockatoo. Listening to Mat talk about beer is to know you're in the presence of someone who lives in their true vocation. He often name drops Sussex brewery heroes, with a genuine appreciation for the legacy of Sussex brewers who have come before, as well as being a mentor to those who will come after.

2021: fauna, the beer that gives back
Phil’s dream of combining craft beer with conservation and nature began in Botswana and in 2021, Phil founded Fauna Brewing! He built the brand and began contract brewing with Exhale in North London, selling cans to local bottle shops.

2022: Fauna moves to Arundel in west sussex
An opportunity to move Fauna to the south coast and build our own brewery takes Fauna to new heights. We opened our first venue, the beloved Fauna Taproom, right next door to our growing brewery.

2022: fun run fundraiser in the park
In collaboration with Nice Work, we hosted a 5km and 10km Fun Run through Arundel Park, raising money for our chosen charity partners. This was our very first fundraising event in Arundel, the site of our Brewery and Taproom.

2023: a wildlife exhibition at arundel castle
Early 2023 was spent organising a huge wildlife art exhibition. None of us could have predicted the success of this event, where we helped to raise a further £10,000 for our chosen charity partners. None of which would have been possible without support and patience of Arundel Castle’s amazing team.

2023: our very own onsite brewery
A day of triumph and tears, we finally opened the doors to our brewery. Years in the making, our Taproom can now proudly boast the shortest journey from tank to tap!

In the autumn of 2023, we brought our African wildlife conservation efforts together under one charity; DSWF. We have collaborated on events and featured at their prestigious Wildlife Ball at The Dorchester and Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition at the Mall Galleries.

2024: the taproom expansion
After hosting lots of wonderful independent food vendors, we opened our own pizza kitchen at the Arundel Taproom. This expansion into what was our office, brought a with it a lot more space, allowing us to host a further 60 guests inside.

We became the one and only craft beer bar serving a brand new food hall concept in Chichester; The Ghost at the Feast.
